Reigning Doak Walker Award winner Ollie Gordon II added to his list of preseason accolades on Aug. 19 when the Oklahoma State star was named to the Associated Press Preseason All-American First Team.
Gordon, 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, rushed for 1,732 yards and 21 touchdowns and averaged 6.1 yards per carry in 2023. He also added 39 receptions for 330 yards and 1 touchdown and was named a unanimous All-American as well as Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. Gordon is already being projected as a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Gordon was one of four Big 12 Conference stars to earn Preseason All-American honors along with Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter (first team all-purpose), Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (first team) and Oklahoma State linebacker Nick Martin (second team).
Oklahoma State opens its season on Aug. 31 at home against two-time defending FCS national champion South Dakota State.
