Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy has had to turn into somewhat of a general manager in the era of massive NIL deals, and with that new role comes a hard line when it comes to the financial side of things.
And that means that once football starts, the conversations about money need to stop.
"The business side of what we do now is, we have to have those conversations with them," Gundy said on Monday. "Tell your agent to quit calling us and asking for more money. It's non-negotiable now. Start again in December."
Oklahoma State is ranked No. 17 in the AP Preseason Top 25 and returns most of its starters from last season’s team which went 10-4 and finished the season with a win over Texas A&M in the Texas Bowl.
Oklahoma State opens the season on Aug. 31 at home against two-time defending FCS national champion South Dakota State.
