College football fans get a true taste of the new Big Ten when Oregon hosts Ohio State. Two of the best programs to miss last year's playoffs, the Ducks and Buckeyes will now go head-to-head with a chance to prove they belong in the expanded CFP.
It'll only be the fourth time the programs have ever played. In 2021, Oregon got its first win over the Buckeyes with a 35-28 victory in Columbus. It'll get home field advantage this time in Eugene.
While both teams were relatively successful last year, they'll be different teams this time. Ohio State is a favorite to not only make the playoffs but win the whole title thanks to a handful of transfers including Caleb Downs, Quinshon Judkins and Will Howard.
The Ducks are a new breed offensively, too, with quarterbacks Dante Moore and Dillon Gabriel transferring in.
