Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes are heavily involved in many big names when it comes to the 2026 recruiting class.

While Ohio State has always been a prime destination for young talent, the Buckeyes have become even better under Day. That recruiting paid off in a big way in 2024 with a national championship win.

Looking ahead to the 2026 class, there are a lot of players who Ohio State is pushing hard to land commitments from. One of them is none other than four-star cornerback Havon Finney.

Finney received his scholarship offer from the Buckeyes on Februry 25. He has spoken out with high praise about Ohio State since that offer.

"Coach Tim Walton offered me," Finney said. "I was extremely excited when he offered me. I love Ohio State and it's always been a top school of mine. I'm definitely interested in Ohio State."

He also spoke out about when he plans to take a visit with the Buckeyes.

"My plan is to visit (Ohio State) within the next month or so and do an official (visit) closer to the summer," Finney said. "(But) no dates as of yet."

At this point in time, 247 Sports has Finney ranked as the No. 12 cornerback in the 2026 class. He is also ranked as the No. 119 overall player in the country.

Outside of the Buckeyes, Finney has received offers from USC, Georgia, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Penn State, and plenty of other programs.

All of that being said, it will be interesting to see if Ohio State can lock up a commitment from him. Finney would be a big-time addition for the Buckeyes' defense in the future.
