The current era of college football will be remembered for the players finally getting paid, and no school has made individual players richer than the University of Colorado football program.

According to On3.com's NIL valuations for college football, the Buffs have three players in the Top 15 in the nation with No. 1 Shedeur Sanders ($4.7 million), No. 2 Travis Hunter ($2.7 million) and No. 13 Shilo Sanders ($1.1 million), bringing the group's total to a whopping $8.4 million.

Both quarterback Shedeur Sanders and safety Shilo Sanders are sons of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.

Shedeur Sanders is projected to be a high first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft as is Hunter, a cornerback/wide receiver who was an Associated Press All-American in 2023. All three players followed Deion Sanders from Jackson State to Colorado when he switched jobs following the 2022 season.

After going 1-11 in 2022, the Buffaloes improved to 4-8 in Deion Sanders' first season as head coach. Colorado has only finished the season ranked in the final Associated Press Top 25 Poll once in the last 20 years, coming in at No. 17 after going 10-4 in 2016.

The Buffaloes open the season on Aug. 29 at home against North Dakota State.
