Future NBA Hall of Famer marvels over Jeremiah Smith's superstar ability image

College football fans, specifically fans of Ohio State, weren't the only ones glued to their TV sets Saturday night to watch Jeremiah Smith's sensational performance in a 38-7 win against Michigan State in East Lansing.

Four-time NBA champion and two-time ex-Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James was locked into watching the Buckeyes game and was impressed with Smith's jaw-dropping now-viral one-handed snag before halftime to extend the Buckeyes' then-lead to 24-7.

James instantly reacted to the catch on 'X', making similar remarks to what most of the nation likely did.

JEREMIAH SMITH!!!! MAN KNOCK IT OFF!!!! MY GOODNESS O-H," James wrote.

The tweet has 1.5 million views, over one thousand retweets, and 17,000 likes at press time. Several Buckeye fans replied to inform James of Smith's ability as a freshman. Even though James didn't respond to anyone, given he has 53 million followers, it's safe to assume he read a handful of messages.

LeBron James sends more love to the college football world

James' football-watching did not stop, with the Buckeyes remaining unbeaten. He then turned his attention to ABC, where Georgia nearly overcame a 30-7 deficit against now-No. 1 Alabama but lost 41-34 in Tuscaloosa.

Like his tweet about Smith, James kept his remarks about the chaotic Crimson Tide win brief but certainly reassured his love for college football.

THIS GAME IS A INSTANT CLASSIC," James wrote.

Nevertheless, it won't be the last non-NBA-related tweet James will ever send, at least as far as we know.

The Buckeyes keep rolling and host Iowa next Saturday in Columbus. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
