Missouri’s first season in the SEC didn’t go the way the Tigers would have liked.
Season 2? Well, that’s a different story.

Missouri made its first appearance at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., on Saturday and stunned the No. 7 Bulldogs, 41-26.
The 25th-ranked Tigers are 6-0 – that’s one more win than they had all of last season. Georgia dropped its second game of the season, ending any hopes of playing for a BCS title.
“We battled, we battled. Turnovers were obviously huge in this game,” Missouri coach Gary Pinkel said on the field after the game.
Georgia played without its top two tailbacks, Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall. Gurley has been sidelined since injuring his ankle several weeks ago against LSU. Marshall tore his ACL in last week’s game against Tennessee.
Missouri QB James Franklin led the Tigers early, running for a score and throwing a TD pass, but he exited the game early in the fourth quarter with an injured shoulder.
Shortly after he left the game and with Missouri clinging to a 28-20 lead, the Tigers used a trick play and Bud Sasser found L’Damian Washington for a 40-yard TD pass.
Missouri picked off two Aaron Murray passes in the final eight minutes, converting the first into a Henry Josey TD run to clinch the win.
“We haven’t played our best game yet,” said Pinkel, whose Tigers don’t have it any easier. They play Florida at home next Saturday and South Carolina visits the following Saturday.
