After a heart-wrenching loss to North Carolina in its home opener, Minnesota rebounded to dominate Rhode Island the following week 48-0. The Golden Gophers will have their third straight home game in week three and are unveiling a little surprise to accompany it.

Minnesota will wear its all-gold uniform in a matchup with Nevada, which the team revealed via social media. The athletic department officially unveiled the uniforms to fans back in June.

New quarterback Max Brosmer had a much better game in week two vs. Rhode Island, completing 80% of his passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns. The Golden Gophers dominated this one regarding yardage, outgaining the Rams 422 yards to 135.

It will also be interesting to see how this Minnesota defense looks against an inconsistent Nevada offense. The Gophers were able to intercept Rhode Island quarterback Devin Farell twice last Saturday, one returned for a touchdown by defensive back Jack Henderson.

After a showdown with the Wolfpack, Minnesota jumps right back into conference play with a matchup with Iowa in Minneapolis for the Floyd of Rosedale. The following week, they will travel to Ann Arbor for another trophy game against Michigan for the rights of The Little Brown Jug.
