The Miami Hurricanes unveiled adidas throwback uniforms Monday, set to debut Oct. 8 when the 'Canes take on rival Florida State at Hard Rock Stadium.
The school said the retro uniforms were designed as a nod to the legacy and domination of the teams from the 1980s and '90s; the Hurricanes won four national championships during that period.

Arguably the best part of the new uniforms are the gloves, which feature an oversized graphic of Sebastian the Ibis on the inside.
The Hurricanes are 3-0 this season with wins against Florida A&M, Florida Atlantic and Appalachian State. Their next game is Oct. 1 at Georgia Tech in their ACC opener.
