The Miami Hurricanes’ football game against Florida State will kick off as scheduled on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET at Hard Rock Stadium, the University of Miami announced on Friday.

While Hurricane Matthew has ripped through much of the state of Florida — it caused the SEC game between LSU and Florida to be postponed — the brunt of it missed the city of Miami.

The U, along with Florida State, the ACC and Hard Rock Stadium, came to the decision in consultation with Miami-Dade County officials, according to the press release.

A moment of silence for people impacted by Hurricane Matthew will proceed the game, and the Hurricanes and Seminoles will both wear special helmet stickers featuring the state of Florida and Red Cross logo. The schools will also donate $50,000 for hurricane relief, and fans will be encouraged to chip in as well.
