Leonard Fournette’s college career may very well be over after he chose not to travel with the Tigers to Texas A&M for their Thursday game, The Advocate reported Wednesday.

A preseason Heisman Trophy favorite, Fournette has battled ankle injuries all season. He re-injured his left ankle at least three times, including during last week’s loss to Florida. He had just 12 carries for 40 yards — none of which came in the fourth quarter.

Fournette has 843 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in the seven games he's played, averaging 6.5 yards a carry. He’s expected to enter the NFL Draft and become an early first-round selection.
