Kentucky's Mark Stoops is free to things his way.
And the first-year head coach is doing just that.
While most coaches around the country have named the starter at the sport's most important position, Stoops doesn't see the fuss over picking a starting quarterback.

That because, at least for now, Stoops plan to play two of them.
"Yeah, I don't see the reason to, really," he told reporters Saturday. "I think both guys are working extremely hard, and there's probably no reason for me to name a starter."
Those two guys are Maxwell Smith and Jalen Whitlow. Both of them played last season: Smith threw for a team-high 975 yards and eight touchdowns, while Whitlow threw for 801 yards and three scores and ran for 206 yards.
"We're not going to set anything in stone because if the first guy goes in there and is doing very well, we'll let him go."
The Wildcats open Aug. 31 at home against Western Kentucky.
