For the second consecutive offseason, Mark Stoops and Kentucky dipped into the transfer portal to bolster the Wildcats in an uber-competitive SEC.

Kentucky touts a new-look offense, with quarterback Devin Leary and running back Ray Davis — both former transfers — off to the NFL.

A new transfer duo is set to slide in, headlined by quarterback Brock Vandagriff, a former five-star recruit and three-year backup at Georgia. Vandagriff attempted just 21 passes in three seasons as a Bulldog, but he should finally have an opportunity to show what he can do with the Wildcats.

Elsewhere, running back Chip Trayanum — who spent the past two seasons with Ohio State — enters the fold to replace Davis.

Kentucky's defense should be strong, anchored at the front by defensive tackle Deone Walker, a 6-6, 348-pound force. A projected first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Walker helped the Wildcats hold the opposition to the second fewest rushing yards per game in the SEC last season.

Kentucky comes off back-to-back 7-6 campaigns and consecutive bowl game losses. But compared to the gauntlets facing other SEC programs, the Wildcats have a favorable schedule: They are slated to play just four teams ranked inside the top 25 in the AP Poll.

The Sporting News has you covered with everything that you need to know in order to listen to Kentucky football on the radio this season.
