Kansas is a dark horse Big 12 Conference team with high expectations entering the 2024 season. Ranked No. 22 to start the season, Lance Leipold has the Jayhawks tending toward long-term success.
Kansas finished the 2023 season 9-4, good enough for a berth in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl vs. UNLV. The Jayhawks finished off the season with a 49-36 win in the bowl game.
The Jayhawks face a rather rigorous schedule even with four of its first seven games at home.
If Kansas can get off to a fast start, another bowl appearance should be within its reach. Unlike in past seasons, it avoids the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma State Cowboys.
