"Untold: Johnny Football” will relive Johnny Manziel’s brilliant Heisman Trophy-winning season with Texas A&M in 2012.
The documentary also will revisit the controversy that followed Manziel from college into the NFL and beyond. Manziel's off-the-field problems led to an abbreviated NFL career — and that overshadowed those highlight-reel season with the Aggies.
Manziel's troubles ranged from NCAA suspensions to controversial viral moments to multiple arrests, and most of that will be revisited in the documentary. Here's a look back at the troubled timeline of Johnny Manziel from Texas A&M through his time with the Cleveland Browns from 2012-16.

June 29, 2012: Manziel, a freshman quarterback at Texas A&M, is arrested after College Station police see him fighting with another man after a friend of Manziel’s pointed at a man and used a racial slur. Manziel pleads guilty to failing to properly identify himself to police two weeks later.
Oct. 31, 2012: Manziel appears intoxicated while wearing a Scooby Doo costume three days before the Aggies' game against Mississippi State. This picture would become the poster for Manziel's wild behavior in college.

Nov. 10, 2012: Manziel leads Texas A&M to a 29-23 upset of No. 1 Alabama, and the "Johnny Football" legend takes off. On Dec. 8, Manziel becomes the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy.
June 28, 2013: Manziel is ushered out of a frat party at the University of Texas. TMZ releases video of the incident.
Aug. 28, 2013: Manziel is suspended for the first half of Texas A&M’s season opener against Rice by the NCAA. Manziel violated a NCAA rule which prevented student-athletes from benefiting from their name, image and likeness at the time. Manziel had received payment for signing autographs.
May 8, 2014: The Cleveland Browns select Manziel with the No. 22 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Manziel flashes the "money fingers" celebration when he walks on the stage.
June 16, 2014: Manziel's party image continues when he posts an Instagram video with the "money phone." Manziel is spotted partying in Houston, Las Vegas and other places as training camp nears.
Aug. 18, 2014: Manziel gives the middle finger to the Washington bench during a preseason game. Manziel is fined $12,000 by the NFL.
Nov. 22, 2014: A fight breaks out at 2:30 a.m. at The 9 hotel in downtown Cleveland where Manziel lives. Manziel denies a report that he was punched in the face during the "brawl." No arrests are made.
Jan. 28, 1015: Manziel enters a rehab facility, where he stays for 10 weeks before being released. Browns coach Mike Pettine offers support for Manziel. "For his football life to get it where it needs to be, he needs to get the personal life where it needs to be," Pettine said. "This takes precedence, so however long of time he needs, the football will be there when he gets out."
Oct. 12, 2015: Dashcam video shows an incident where Manziel's girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, tries to open the door while the car is speeding. Manziel tells police officers he was drinking in downtown Cleveland earlier in the day. The officers find a cut on Crowley's arm, which they say was a result of Manziel trying to hold her in the car. No arrests are made in the incident.
Jan. 3, 2016: Manziel missed a Week 17 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The quarterback was out with a concussion but supposed to be with the team. Instead, Manziel opted to party in Las Vegas while wearing a disguise.
Jan. 30, 2016: Crowley alleges Manziel hit her repeatedly in an alleged assault at a Dallas hotel. Manziel then drove Crowley to her apartment. According to Fox 4, "when the two arrived at Crowley’s apartment she tried to get away from Manziel before finally escaping to a neighbor." Manziel then fled the scene. Manziel's agent drops him six days later, though Drew Rosenhaus would pick up Manziel on March 19.
Feb. 25, 2016: The case against Manziel is referred to a grand jury as a misdemeanor assault domestic violence allegation.
March 11, 2016: The Cleveland Browns release Manziel.
April 9, 2016: Manziel is a passenger in a hit-and-run car accident in Los Angeles. According to the Dayton Daily News, Manziel's friend Ryan Silverstein drove into a light pole. Silverstein and Manziel left the scene. Manziel left on foot. Manziel was later given a ride by Josh Gordon, according to CBSSports.com. Rosenhaus drops Manziel after the incident.
April 26, 2016: Manziel is indicted on misdemeanor assault charges stemming from the incident with Crowley in January. He turns himself into police on May 4 and is ordered to have no contact with Crowley on May 6.
June 30, 2016: Manziel is suspended for four games by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Manziel, however, would not play in the NFL again.
Dec. 2, 2016: Manziel reaches a plea deal in the misdemeanor domestic violence case. Manziel is issued a conditional dismissal agreement from his case. Manziel's attorney issues the following statement: "I'm thankful to both the court and prosecutor for their hard work and diligence in trying to come to a fair and just resolution for all parties involved. My client is pleased to be able to put this part of the situation behind him and is eager to satisfy the terms of the agreement."
