Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin has found his new defensive coordinator — with no help from the pool boy.
FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman reported Wednesday that LSU's John Chavis will assume the same role with the Aggies.

Chavis was not on the Tigers' charter flight back to Baton Rouge after LSU's 31-28 loss to Notre Dame in the Music City Bowl, opting to travel home to Knoxville, according to NOLA.com.
After the bowl game, Chavis was asked directly about his intentions to return to LSU next season. His answer skirted around the question.
"You know what, I've said three or four times I wasn't going to talk about that, I'm going to be nice," he said, according to NOLA.com. "But at some point, I can be an ugly ass, and I don't want to be that tonight, so I'm not going to be that. Thank you."
Sources have said Chavis was being heavily courted by Texas A&M for the defensive coordinator position for weeks. The offer was reportedly $1.7 million over three years, a $400,000-a-year raise over LSU's extension offer.
