In 2023, the Georgia Tech football team finished with a winning record and earned a bid to a bowl game after failing to accomplish both of those goals in each of the previous four seasons. And the Yellow Jackets won, downing UCF in the Gasparilla Bowl and giving the program a much-needed victory.
Brent Key enters his second full season as head coach after taking over for Geoff Collins in the middle of the 2022 season. Key will be able to lean on the experience of quarterback Haynes King, who threw for 2,842 yards and 27 touchdowns last year.
While there is still plenty of work to do, fans have good reason to believe in the Yellow Jackets. This is a team worth monitoring in a new era of college football.

Georgia Tech football radio announcers
Andy Demetra, who joined the Georgia Tech Sports Network in 2016, is the voice of the Yellow Jackets. He serves as the play-by-play announcer for football and men's basketball. Occasionally, he serves as the play-by-play voice for women's basketball, baseball, softball and volleyball telecasts on ACC Network Extra.
Joe Hamilton is the color analyst on the network. Hamilton reached legendary status as a Yellow Jackets quarterback in 1999, finishing as the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy behind Wisconsin running back Ron Dayne.
