Clemson has defeated Florida State for eight straight seasons. Could this year be different?
The undefeated Seminoles are ranked No. 4 entering one of the most-anticipated ACC matchups of the season. Meanwhile, the Tigers are unranked for the first time since 2014. They began the season at No. 9 but took a beating from Duke in Week 1, knocking them down the AP Poll ladder.
Despite the contrast in standings, Florida State enters this game as a narrow 2.5-point favorite after nearly letting up against Boston College in the fourth quarter last week. The good news is that quarterback Jordan Travis did not sustain a serious shoulder injury when he went down at the end of the first half. He will still get the start against Clemson, which is coming of its best performance yet, a 48-14 victory against Florida Atlantic.
After throwing an interception in each of his first two games, along with a fumble, Cade Klubnik threw cleanly, passing for 169 yards and three touchdowns and rushing for another. The Tigers controlled the other side of the ball well, too, recording three interceptions. Travis has thrown only one interception, and that came in the Seminoles' win over LSU.

Florida State last beat the Tigers in 2014, a season after the program claimed its third, and most recent, national championship. While it has the upper hand as it heads into Memorial Stadium this time around, don't count out Clemson yet. The Tigers have won seven of the last eight ACC championships for a reason.
