Ohio State might have one of its most talented rosters in recent memory — that’s saying a lot for a school that’s made the College Football Playoff five times in the last decade, including a national title in 2014.
A big reason Ohio State is one of the favorites to win it all in 2024 is an unbelievable influx of talent from the transfer portal — 247Sports recently ranked the Buckeyes as the No. 1 transfer portal signing class in the nation.
One of the keys to that ranking was the addition of former Kansas State quarterback Will Howard, who will step in to lead the Buckeyes’ offense after going 14-11 as the starter for the Wildcats over the last four seasons.
From 247Sports: “Quarterback Will Howard is poised to be one of college football's most important players next season after a prolific career at Kansas State.”
Howard came on as Kansas State’s starter late in 2022 and helped lead them to a Big 12 Championship Game upset of TCU and was named second-team All-Big 12 in 2023.
