One of the biggest recruiting wins for Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is now a prized transfer in the SEC.

Cornerback Cormani McClain signed with the Buffs as a five-star recruit out of Lakeland (Fla.) High School  in 2023 but bristled against Sanders’ coaching and transferred to Florida, where 247Sports has him ranked as the No. 21 overall transfer portal player in 2024.

From 247Sports: “McClain, who ranked No. 14 overall and No. 1 among cornerbacks in the 2023 recruiting class, served as a spot starter in his first and only season at Colorado, appearing in 10 contests and recording 13 total tackles, including one for a loss, and two passes defended. It's unclear how McClain factors into Florida's operation in 2024, but he's likely a depth option in the secondary.”

McClain played in 9 games as a true freshman at Colorado in 2023 with 13 tackles, 2 pass deflections and no interceptions.
