It didn't come against a top-notch opponent, but Penn State quarterback Drew Allar had one of the most complete games of his college career on Saturday.
In the Nittany Lions' matchup against Kent State, Allar led his team to an offensive explosion in the first half. Penn State led the Golden Flashes 28-0 at halftime and went on to a 56-0 win.
Allar, a former five-star recruit, has shown signs of significant improvement between his sophomore and junior seasons.
Here's a look at Allar's stats vs. Kent State on Saturday, plus the details to know on his future NFL Draft eligibility.

Coming into Saturday's game, Allar had 420 passing yards, five passing touchdowns and one interception in two games this season. Under new Penn State offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki, the junior has made strides as a more complete quarterback and led his team to a 3-0 record to start 2024.
When is Drew Allar eligible for the NFL Draft?
Allar is eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft if he elects to enter it after his third year with the Nittany Lions.
That would put him in a quarterback class likely to include names like Georgia's Carson Beck, Colorado's Shedeur Sanders and Texas' Quinn Ewers. In May, Pro Football Network projected Allar to be an early third round pick in 2025, but with his improvements this season, he could be moving up NFL scouts' draft boards. He still has showcase games against USC and Ohio State later in the season.
Allar's 6-foot-5 frame and big-time arm strength will make him an early draft choice at some point, but he could also opt to stay in Happy Valley for his senior season in 2025.
Entering Penn State's third game of 2024, Allar had totaled 3,395 passing yards, 34 passing touchdowns and three interceptions in his college career so far.
