As if Alabama needed any more help, it got it Thursday with another huge recruiting addition.
Da’Shawn Hand (Woodbridge, Va), the No. 1 recruit in the 2014 class according to Rivals.com and No. 5 on 247Sports.com, committed to the top-ranked Crimson Tide on Thursday. Hand, a 6-foot-4, 248-pound defensive end, chose Alabama over Michigan and Florida.

Alabama already has a commitment from the No. 1 player, according to 247Sports.com, in offensive tackle Cameron Robinson. The Tide already were ranked No. 1 in the 247Sports.com team rankings and Hand’s commitment widens the gap between them and No. 2 Tennessee.
