Dani Cogswell, a University of Louisville cheerleader who died of a drug overdose in July, was found dead in a football player's apartment, according to the final police report that was released Tuesday night.

Freshman wide receiver Cameron Polk, the witness listed as "Polk" in the police report, was the tenant of the apartment, as confirmed by WAVE 3 News in Louisville. Polk is currently listed on the Cardinals' roster, though he "has since been booted from the team" in an unrelated drug trafficking charge on Oct. 7 and is no longer a student at Louisville.

Polk has not been charged in Cogswell's death.

Cogswell, who had been abusing drugs for two years, died of an overdose of heroin, amphetamines and Xanax. A second witness, also identified as a Louisville football player, told police Cogswell had taken a Xanax that night.
