Colorado RB arrested, accused of rubbing mud in girlfriend's hair image

Colorado running back Terrence Crowder was arrested early Sunday and charged with domestic violence, third-degree assault and harassment against his girlfriend.

According to the Daily Camera, the incident began when the girlfriend read a text message on Crowder's phone from one of his ex-girlfriends. She took some items Crowder had given her while they were dating -- she told police eight months -- and followed him outside.

He threw the bag of items into a yard and she followed him. She asked Crowder if she could walk with him because she did not feel safe after some men passed by earlier and whistled at her, the Daily Camera reported.

Then, Crowder crossed the street and she said he threw small rocks and other stuff at her and then rubbed mud in her hair.
Crowder was released Monday on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

Crowder sat out last season -- he was scheduled to redshirt -- after tearing his ACL during practice Oct. 3. He does not have any carries this season.
