It’s no secret that Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is a big fan of the transfer portal.

In 2024, his team’s trajectory will be largely defined by those players once again, with Colorado having signed the top four transfer portal players in the Big 12, according to the 247Sports transfer portal rankings

Colorado made its biggest splash in the transfer portal on the defensive line, bringing in Pittsburgh’s Samuel Okunlola, who led the Panthers with 5.0 sacks in 2023. Okunlola is ranked No. 55 in the transfer portal.

LSU defensive lineman Quency Wiggins (No. 65) and Arizona State defensive lineman B.J. Green (No. 84) will also play for the Buffs. Green was an All-Pac-12 selection in 2023 with 11.5 tackles for loss and 6.0 sacks.

Colorado added some offensive help from the transfer portal in wide receiver WIll Sheppard, who led Vanderbilt in receiving the last two seasons and was an All-SEC pick in 2022.
