College football's bowl season is in full swing, and Friday's slate delivers five more matchups spanning from the early afternoon into the night.
The day begins with the Duke's Mayo Bowl, highlighted by the postgame mayonnaise bath for the winning coach, and it ends with the first New Year's Six Bowl of the weekend as Tennessee faces Clemson in an all-orange Orange Bowl.
The sneaky matchup of the day might be Notre Dame and South Carolina in the Gator Bowl as a historic program faces a surging Gamecocks team that managed wins over both Tennessee and Clemson at the end of the regular season.
Here's how to watch all of Friday's bowl action.

Maryland vs. NC State
The biggest storyline in this game will be whether Maryland's Mike Locksley or NC State's Dave Doeren will be the coach on the receiving end of the postgame mayonnaise bath. The Duke's Mayo Bowl announced earlier this month that both coaches agreed to the mayo bath, so there's no going back now.
NC State didn't have the season it wanted after entering with expectations of competing for an ACC title. QB Devin Leary regressed before an injury ended his season, and a promising win over Wake Forest in November was followed by a mystifying loss to Boston College. Still, the Wolfpack finished 8-4 and remain one of the ACC's better coached teams.
Maryland gave both Michigan and Ohio State close games en route to a 7-5 finish this season. The Terrapins have managed back-to-back winning seasons after six consecutive losing campaigns, and a win in the Duke's Mayo Bowl would give the program its first eight-win season since 2010.

Pittsburgh vs. UCLA
UCLA is looking to finish its best season since 2014 on a high note. The Bruins will have standout QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson on the field as he finishes his collegiate career, and Chip Kelly would very much like to get win No. 10 in what's been a resurgent year for his stock.
Pitt didn't match its ACC title season from 2021 but still finished 8-4 as the program keeps chugging right along under Pat Narduzzi. Like last season, the Panthers will be without their starting quarterback in their bowl game. Kedon Slovis transferred to BYU, so Nick Patti will fill in and hope to pull off an upset.
Notre Dame vs. South Carolina
The Gator Bowl gives Notre Dame QB Tyler Buchner a chance at redemption after he missed almost all of this season with a shoulder injury. Buchner hasn't played since he was forced to exit the Irish's upset loss to Marshall in September, but he's expected to be under center as Marcus Freeman looks to end his first season at the helm with 10 wins.
South Carolina, even while missing some key pieces, won't make it easy. The Gamecocks had some forgettable losses early in the season but rallied to take down both Orange Bowl participants - Tennessee and Clemson - in November. Momentum could be on the side of Shane Beamer's team.

Ohio vs. Wyoming
The last all-Group of Five matchup on the board, MAC runner-up Ohio will face Wyoming in the Arizona Bowl. The Bobcats had a great year but struggled after losing QB Kurtis Rourke near the end of the season. Ohio lost the MAC title game to Toledo and will have to dig deep to regain an offensive identity without Rourke.
Wyoming is coming off its third winning season in the last four years after finishing the regular season 7-5. The Mountain West has looked pretty strong in bowl games so far with big wins from Fresno State and Air Force, so the Cowboys can make another statement for the conference with a win Friday.
Unlike other bowl games, the Arizona Bowl will not be televised but can be streamed through the Barstool Sports app or website.
Tennessee vs. Clemson
This isn't the blockbuster matchup it would be if both team's stars were healthy and on the field, but it should still be a fun one. There's some intrigue for both sides. Tennessee, missing Hendon Hooker and two top receivers in Jalin Hyatt and Cedric Tillman, could make a statement about Josh Heupel's system if Joe Milton is able to come out and guide the offense to a big performance.
Clemson, meanwhile, is starting a new quarterback in Cade Klubnik. Klubnik impressed after replacing D.J. Uiagalelei in the ACC championship and could inspire serious hope for the Tigers' program with another efficient night under the spotlight.
