College football is in full swing, with a majority of programs holding two games under their belts to start off the season. We've already seen upsets, comebacks, OT thrillers and much more to start off the 2023 NCAA campaign, and it continues in Week 3.
This week's slate is admittedly a bit on the lighter side. There are no top-25 matchups on tap, but there are a few intriguing storylines to watch.
No. 14 LSU got back in the win column last week after dropping its season opener to Florida State. This week, the Tigers face Mississippi State in Starkville, with the Bulldogs holding a 2-0 record. In other SEC action, No.1 Georgia hosts Spencer Rattler and South Carolina in Athens.
There are a few ranked programs hitting the road this week for critical conference contests. No. 3 FSU ships up to Boston, as the Seminoles take on Boston College in Chestnut Hill, No. 7 Penn State squares off against Illinois, No. 8 Washington travels to East Lansing to take on Michigan State and No. 11 Tennessee heads to the Swamp for an SEC battle against Florida.
The highlight of the slate entering the weekend is also the site of ESPN's "College GameDay", as Deion Sanders and No. 18 Colorado conclude Saturday's action with a rivalry game against Colorado State.
