NC State vs. Kentucky
No. 23 NC State finished out its eight-win season with four-straight victories, including giving Liberty its only loss of the season. The Wolfpack struggle to defend the pass, but that won't be much of a concern against Kentucky (4-6) who finished the year last in the FBS in passing yards per game by a full 28 yards. Kentucky's four wins came against opponents with a combined eight victories.
Ole Miss vs. Indiana
No. 12 Indiana (6-1) certainly feels like on of the biggest snubs left out of the New Year's Six bowl games after only losing to No. 3 Ohio State by a touchdown, but at least the Hoosiers were rewarded with facing the worst defense in the nation. Indiana will be without Michael Penix Jr. and Ty Fryfogle, but the offense should still move with ease against an Ole Miss defense that allows over 535 yards a game.
Oregon vs. Iowa State
No. 25 Oregon backed into the Fiesta Bowl after winning the Pac-12 championship despite finishing second in the Pac-12 North Division. The Ducks (4-2) defeated USC 31-24 in the championship game to spoil the Trojans' shot at the College Football Playoff. No. 12 Iowa State (8-3) had the Big 12's best chance at making the Playoff before falling to Oklahoma in the conference championship. The Cyclones' Breece Hall leads the nation in rushing.
Texas A&M vs. North Carolina
No. 5 Texas A&M (8-1) finished one upset short on conference-championship Saturday of qualifying for the Playoff for the first time in program history. This game will likely mark the end of quarterback Kellen Mond's illustrious career for the Aggies in which he'll finish as the program's all-time leader in career total offense, passing yards, passing touchdowns, completions and pass attempts. No. 13 North Carolina (8-3) will be without running back Michael Carter, wide receiver Dyami Brown and linebacker Chazz Surratt, but brings one of the nation's best offenses led by quarterback Sam Howell.
