College football rankings: Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State atop Harris Poll image

While The Associated Press Top 25 had a new No. 3 team, the two polls that figure in the Bowl Championship Series formula agreed Sunday: Ohio State trailed only the top two teams through games of Nov. 16.

No. 1 Alabama retained its stranglehold in the Interactive College Football Poll. Florida State remained No. 2. Both schools held their ground in the USA Today coaches poll as well as the AP Top 25.

Baylor moved into third in the AP rankings, but the Harris Poll agreed with coaches in placing the Buckeyes in that slot.
