The 2018 College Football Playoff selection show is drawing near, and soon we'll know which teams the committee chooses to play for a shot at the national championship.

Seven different teams are vying for one of four Playoff spots, and anything can happen during conference championship weekend.

Here's everything to know about the selection process, including betting odds and how to tune into the broadcast on Sunday.

College Football Playoff top six

Rank Team
1 Alabama (12-0)
2 Clemson (12-0)
3 Notre Dame (12-0)
4 Georgia (11-1)
5 Oklahoma (11-1)
6 Ohio State (11-1)

No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson and No. 4 Georgia are in win-and-in situations regarding their respective Playoff spots. Notre Dame, which finished a 12-0 regular season with a win over rival USC, is a lock to make the final four-team Playoff. Oklahoma and Ohio State, however, not only need wins in their conference title games, but also need upheaval at the top of the standings if they want to get in.

Aside from the top three, UCF is the only other remaining undefeated team left, coming in ranked at No. 8. The Knights are currently riding the nation's longest win streak at 24 games and have done everything they can to make their case. Apart from the tough test they face in the AAC championship game against Memphis, the Knights need a lot of help if they want any shot at making the Playoff — most likely losses from Georgia, Oklahoma and Ohio State.

Until the last few games are played out, the Playoff picture's still up in the air. Here's how to tune in to the selection show.
