Week 7 of the 2024 college football season brings us the best slate of games to date.
The Red River Rivalry is rekindled, SEC-style, as No. 1 Texas squares off with No. 18 Oklahoma. Veteran quarterback Quinn Ewers, out since Sept. 14 with an abdominal strain, is on track to start for the Longhorns. The Sooners have won five of the last six head-to-head matchups.
In the Big Ten, No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Oregon test their respective championship mettle in a top-five clash in Eugene. The two powerhouses meet for just the fourth time ever, and the first time as Big Ten foes.
Elsewhere, No. 4 Penn State surged to its highest ranking in the AP Poll since 2021. The Nittany Lions will look to avoid an upset as they head west to take on USC.
And a top-15 clash looms in the SEC, with No. 9 Ole Miss and No. 13 LSU battling in a game rich with College Football Playoff implications.
