As Week 9 of college football approaches, bettors only have a few opportunities left to get action down on regular season matchups. Sifting through the current player prop markets DraftKings Sportsbook has to offer, we've pinpointed five of our favorite props to consider in Week 9.

Below, we break down why we like Texas A&M RB Devon Achane to aid in the receiving game against Ole Miss while also detailing player props from No. 13 Penn State's matchup against No. 2 Ohio State and No. 7 TCU's road contest against West Virginia.

College Football Best Bets Week 9: Advice, picks, odds, player props

Texas A&M RB Devon Achane OVER 28.5 receiving yards (-120)

Achane's ability to aid in the receiving game out of the backfield can result in the half-back eclipsing 29 receiving yards on Saturday night. While Texas A&M is currently just a 1.5-point home underdog to Ole Miss, there's a decent chance the Aggies play from behind, forcing A&M to be a bit more pass-happy than normal. Achane's hauled in 19 receptions over his past three games, and if he secures three-to-four receptions on Saturday night, it can result in him racking up 29-plus receiving yards. Additionally, starting QB Haynes King is dealing with a shoulder injury that kept him out of the latter stages of last week's 30-24 loss to South Carolina, and with King averaging 6.6 YPA and being more effective on shorter passes, look for a handful of targets to come Achane's way.

Iowa State WR Xavier Hutchinson UNDER 0.5 receiving TDs (-110)

Hutchinson's one of college football's best pass-catchers, grading out with PFF's sixth-highest offensive grade among receivers (88.3). While Hutchinson can make plays all over the field, he hasn't been much of a red-zone threat in Big 12, failing to score a TD through the Cyclones' first four conference games. Despite his inability to reach paydirt in Big 12 play, his current price to score a receiving TD is a bit inflated, resulting in some value on the under. He has big-play ability and Oklahoma's defense has had its issues, but we'll bank on him failing to score a TD for a fifth-straight game.

2022 CFB ODDS: Heisman | CFP and National Champion

Penn State WR Parker Washington OVER 58.5 receiving yards (-115)

Washington enters Week 9 averaging 12.9 yards per reception, as he's an explosive play threat waiting to happen. Washington's coming off a seven-catch, 70-yard performance in Penn State's most recent game, a 45-17 drubbing over Minnesota. Considering Penn State was up multiple scores throughout the game, they weren't forced to air the football out as much as they might have to tomorrow, sitting as 15.5-point home underdogs to Ohio State. A more pass-centric offense is good news for Washington, making Penn State's second-most targeted receiver (42 targets) capable of reaching 60-plus receiving yards.

TCU RB Kendre Miller OVER 91.5 rushing yards (-125)

TCU's workhorse RB is capable of gashing West Virginia's defense to the tune of 92 rushing yards on Saturday. Miller's coming off a massive, 29-carry, 153-yard, two-touchdown performance against Kansas State last week, and while the Horned Frogs notched a double-digit victory, at one point they trailed by 18-points. Since TCU's expected to be in control on Saturday, look for Miller to get a heavy dosage of carries, leading him to rush for 92-plus yards. West Virginia's rush defense does rank in the bottom half of the FBS in rush YPG allowed (130.1 YPG) but TCU's potency on offense figures to challenge that.

West Virginia WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton OVER 65.5 receiving yards (-115)

Coinciding with a positive game script for TCU, West Virginia's likely going to air the ball out more than usual. The Mountaineers leading receiver, Bryce Ford-Wheaton, is capable of logging 66-plus receiving yards against a susceptible Horned Frogs secondary. On the season, Ford-Wheaton's seen 72 targets through seven games, which is 14 more targets than WVU's next targeted pass catcher (Kaden Prather). Look for Ford-Wheaton to once again lead the Mountaineers in receiving this week.
