Even with a bye week and Florida State's win over Notre Dame Saturday night, Mississippi State is still the No. 1 team in the country according to USA Today's Coaches Poll.
The top three teams remain the same from Week 8, with FSU and Ole Miss coming in at No. 2 and No. 3. Then begins the fallout from Saturday's games.

Alabama (No. 4) and Michigan State (No. 5) have entered the top five after blowout wins over Texas A&M and Indiana respectively.
Notre Dame only fell three spots to No. 8 after its loss to Florida State and Oklahoma now sits at No. 18 after its narrowly losing to Kansas State.
Including Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and Stanford fell out from the rankings while West Virginia (No. 25), Minnesota (No. 24) and LSU (No. 23) entered.
