The Cade Klubnik era has officially begun at Memorial Stadium.
In many ways, it started months prior to No. 9 Clemson's season-opening clash vs. Duke. The Tigers had long viewed Klubnik as the heir apparent to their steady stream of Pro Bowl-caliber quarterbacks.
It took Klubnik some time to take the reins of Dabo Swinney's offense. But he won eventually won out, displacing D.J. Uiagalelei as the starter by the end of the 2022 campaign. And although he had a less-than-stellar display in the Tigers' bowl game, he comes into 2023 with hopes of leading Clemson to the promised land.
Step one: carry the Tigers to a victory over Duke in their season opener. It's easier said than done; the Blue Devils have proved a formidable foe in ACC play over the years, especially last season, where they posted a 9-4 record.
