No. 3 Oregon lost its top running back, CJ Verdell, to an apparent lower-leg injury in the third quarter of its Pac-12 game Saturday at Stanford.

Verdell was carted off to the locker room after being examined inside the Ducks' sideline injury tent. He was hurt late in the period as Oregon was driving for what turned out to be a game-tying field goal.
