There’s a growing feeling among college football pundits that the Big 12 Conference title is up for grabs in 2024 … as long as you’re Kansas State, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Utah or Arizona.

The winner will find themselves almost assuredly in the new, 12-team College Football Playoff and 247Sports has Kansas State projected as receiving a first-round bye and facing Big Ten newcomer Oregon in the Fiest Bowl in the CFP quartefinals.

247Sports projects Ohio State as the No. 1 overall seed and Kansas State as the No. 4 seed but the lone member of the Big 12 in the CFP. The SEC led the way with four teams (Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas) followed by the Big Ten with three teams (Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State), the ACC with two teams (Florida State, Miami), one Independent (Notre Dame) and one team from Conference USA (Liberty).
