By now, you know that the college football landscape is going to look a lot different this season. Texas and Oklahoma will begin play in the SEC, and four former Pac-12 teams, Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington are officially in the Big Ten to begin a new era in that conference. In addition, the College Football Playoff is expanding to 12 teams for the first time in 2024.
Speaking of the Big Ten, the addition of four of the most coveted teams from the West Coast are going to change things drastically when it comes to matchups and the balance of power, even the culture to some extent.
That isn’t lost on the Big Ten Network. In fact, former Michigan tight end turned BTN analyst, Jake Butt, took to social media to break down the conference and how each of the four teams fit as far as culture, academics, and competition on the football field.
He believes that all four schools fit perfectly when it comes to culture and academics, but thinks each is in a different spot when it comes to coming into the League ready to compete in the top revenue sport in collegiate athletics. He clearly believes one team is head and shoulders above the rest, and one will have a more difficult road ahead.
Have a watch and listen to what Butt has to say about the Big Ten with the new teams and how each will fit in beginning this year.

We can't wait to see what these new matchups mean for the conference and what potential rivalries might take shape as the years go on.
