It's a new era for Big Ten football fans.
The conference jumped from 14 to 18 teams after adding Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington. It also eliminated the East and West divisional format, so the top two teams in the Big Ten standings at the end of the season will meet in the conference championship game.
Michigan will attempt to defend its Big Ten title under new coach Sherrone Moore, who stepped into the role after Jim Harbaugh decided to become the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. The Wolverines will have to replace all of the talent they lost to the NFL Draft, including starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy.
Elsewhere, Ohio State will look to end a three-year losing streak to Michigan and reach the College Football Playoff. Newcomers Oregon and USC are ready to make some noise, and Penn State could be a top-10 team in the preseason rankings.
