If you’re into long shot bets, the Big 12 Conference has plenty to offer when it comes to winning the College Football Playoff national championship as the CFP expands from four teams to 12 teams this season.
ESPNBet has its odds up for teams to win the CFP national championship and the projected best Big 12 teams are all in a pack as long shots led by Utah (+6000), Kansas State (+7500), Arizona (+15000), Kansas (+15000), Colorado (+20000) and Oklahoma State (+20000).
Georgia (+325) has the best odds to win it all at followed by Ohio State (+350) and Texas (+750) in the Longhorns first season in the SEC after leaving the Big 12.
No Big 12 team has won a national championship in football since Texas following the 2005 season. Outside of Texas and Oklahoma, who are both now in the SEC, the only Big 12 team to make the CFP has been TCU following the 2022 season, with the Horned Frogs losing to Georgia, 65-7, in the national championship game.
The #TCU Horned Frogs are heading to the College Football Playoff as the No. 3 team. They’ll face Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl.
