The Big 12 Football Championship game will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for the next five seasons, beginning in 2017, the conference announced Friday.
The facility, which the Dallas Cowboys call home, also hosted the Big 12 title game in 2010, the last time the conference played the football championship event. Jerry World, as it’s affectionately called as a nod to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, also hosted the game in 2009.

Bids from Kansas City, Houston and San Antonio were also considered for the event's next venue.
"There is great anticipation with the return of the Big 12 Football Championship and we look forward to hosting the event in AT&T Stadium for the next five years," Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby said in a statement. "The building is a state-of-the-art facility and offers many amenities that will be enjoyed by our institutions and fans."
For those who won’t be making the trip to Arlington, Fox Sports will broadcast the game in odd-numbered years, and ESPN has television rights in even-numbered years. While AT&T Stadium’s deal to host the event expires in 2022, the TV deals run through 2024.
