As the Big 12 Conference welcomes four new teams into the fold in 2024 with Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah from the Pac-12 Conference, they’ll also welcome some top-level college football talent.
One of those talented players is Arizona sophomore quarterback Noah Fifita, who was named Pac-12 Offensive Freshman of the Year in 2023 after he went 7-2 in nine starts and threw for 2,869 yards, 25 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.
Fifita also set Arizona's single-game passing record with 527 yards in a 59-23 win over Arizona State — the Wildcats' first win in Tempe since 2011.

Fifita was the key to Arizona’s 10-3 season and chose to stay with the Wildcats after head coach Jedd Fisch left to become the University of Washington’s head coach and was replaced with San Jose State’s Brent Brennan.
Fifita was one of two key players to return to Arizona under Brennan, including his high school teammate and star wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, a second-team All-Pac 12 selection in 2023 with 90 receptions for 1,402 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. McMillan is also the highest-rated recruit in Arizona history.
The Wildcats open the 2024 season at home against New Mexico on Aug. 24 and play their first Big 12 game on Sept. 13 at Kansas State.
