By the time Pac-12 Conference teams faced Arizona cornerback Tacario Davis in 2023, they’d already had a year of playing against the 6-foot-4, 195-pound California native.
Which meant they understood it’s best not to test Davis, who is arguably the best cornerback in the nation headed into the season as the Wildcats move from the Pac-12 Conference to the Big 12 Conference.
According to PFF, Davis only allowed 3 catches in 2023 on 16 targets in man coverage, with seven pass breakups and a stunning 89 percent coverage grade. Davis was an All-Pac-12 selection and led the league with 15 pass breakups.
Davis is projected as a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft — Pro Football Network had him selected at No. 25 overall by the Green Bay Packers in its latest 2025 mock draft.
