Florida State, on the strength of stellar play from QB sensation Jameis Winston in a 63-0 obliteration of Maryland, leap-frogged Georgia and Louisville to the No. 6 slot in the new Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
Winston, a redshirt freshman, was scary-good against the Terps, completing 23 of 32 passes for 393 yards and five touchdowns, and is clearly in the Heisman race.

Besides the rise of FSU, there weren't many signficant changes in the AP Top 25, as Alabama (55 first-place votes) continued to dominate at the top and Oregon (5 first-place votes) showed no signs of slipping at No. 2.
The top five remained unchanged, with Clemson, Ohio State and Stanford following the Big 2.
Joining the Top 25 were No. 23 Northern Illinois, No. 24 Virginia Tech and No. 25 Missouri.
