The SEC has long been considered the best college football conference out there. That all changed in January when Michigan won the CFP championship. It became just the second Big Ten program to clinch the title (the only other victor being Ohio State in 2014), but the Wolverines broke the SEC's four-year streak of national championships.

Is the Big Ten making a comeback?

Alabama and Wisconsin are far from the most storied rivalry. But that doesn't make their 2024 matchup any less exciting.

The Tide are coming off a CFP semifinals appearance after what was widely considered a rebuilding year for them. In reality, that's this upcoming season. They'll make the transition from Nick Saban to Kalen DeBoer, former Washington coach who led his program to the national championship game.

The Badgers haven't seen nearly as much success as their southern counterparts but inch closer each season. With a strong, experience quarterback at the helm, things could change, especially with a reformed conference. Wisconsin picked up Tyler Van Dyke out of the transfer portal for his fifth and final season. Hopes are high for a program who's looking for its first Big Ten championship game appearance since 2019.

The Alabama-Wisconsin matchup will speak volumes for each program. For those interesting in making the trek to Madison, here's what to know about the game as well as ticket information.
