Blake Barnett may not lead the Alabama program, but he’ll be at a Power 5 school soon enough.

According to a report by 247sports.com, at least eight major programs are after the former five-star recruit who recently announced his transfer out of Tuscaloosa.

Barnett, who has already enrolled at a California junior college for the remainder of the year, has reportedly spoken to Oregon, UCLA, Washington, Cal, Michigan State, Miami and SEC schools Florida and Texas A&M.

If Barnett were to chose the Aggies, who are currently ranked No. 6 thanks to graduate transfer Trevor Knight, he would have the opportunity to play against Alabama, Nick Saban and Jalen Hurts every season.

"I could see him narrowing it down fairly quickly and trying to make a decision by Christmastime,” said Jeff Steinberg, Barnett’s high school coach.

Barnett would be eligible to play for a Division I program as soon as Sept. 30, 2017.
