College football's Goliath is coming off another dominating effort, and this week it's Mississippi State who will be faced with a seemingly impossible task: beating No. 1 Alabama.
The Crimson Tide (9-0, 6-0 in SEC) smoked then-No. 3 LSU on the road 29-0 to continue their perfect season. The Crimson Tide have not only won every game this season, but they have done so handily, coming away victorious by 22-plus points every time. Heisman front runner Tua Tagovailoa finally played into the fourth quarter against the Tigers, and he will be a handful for the Bulldogs. Tagovailoa has thrown for 27 touchdowns to just one interception with a 215.2 passer rating this season.

No. 18 Mississippi State (6-3, 2-3) hasn't had the smoothest ride in conference play and has scored just 16 points in its three losses. The Bulldogs will ride a two-game winning streak heading into Saturday, including a 45-3 blowout of Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs are tied for second in the country with the fewest points allowed (12.3), so they may rely on their defense to serve as a foil to the Tide.
