Roberts previously created waves by spurning nearby Auburn and committing to Alabama in April. He remained committed despite taking repeated trips to Auburn this fall.

The 4-star cornerback is 247Sports.com’s No. 174 player overall and No. 14 cornerback. Rivals.com rates him 188th overall and its No. 13 cornerback.

Top-ranked Alabama (10-0) visits No. 6 Auburn (10-1) on Nov. 30 in a game being billed as one of the biggest Iron Bowls in the history of the series.

Roberts will certainly be in Jordan-Hare Stadium for that one, but this time, he’ll be rooting for his new team.
