Alabama Crimson Tide history visiting Big Ten venues image

For the first time since visiting Penn State in 2011, Alabama Crimson Tide will play in a Big Ten venue. It will be just the third time Alabama visits a current member of the Big Ten conference.

Over the course of Nick Saban’s 17 seasons at Alabama, the scheduling wizardry that came about was Alabama played marquee out of conference games on a neutral site. That strategy paid dividends for the Crimson Tide. 

Overall, as the Big Ten is currently constructed, Alabama possesses a record of 40-18 versus current members of the Big Ten.

Prior to Saban’s arrival in Tuscaloosa, it was incredibly rare for Alabama to play north of the Mason-Dixon Line. On Saturday, when Alabama travels to Wisconsin, it will mark just the second time Alabama has made an appearance in Camp Randall Stadium. The last time the Crimson Tide played at Camp Randall was in 1928 where Wisconsin got a 15-0 win.
