USC forward Sam Dhillon is like most student-athletes. He spends much of his time away from the court in class or studying, and he doesn't get much sleep.
Dhillon is unlike his peers in so many more ways. The 6-8 junior is CEO of an investment firm that's worth more than $3 million and is set to nearly triple its value next year. Oh, yeah, he's also researching a cure for Alzheimer's disease.

Los Angeles televison station KABC profiled the walk-on earlier this week.
The human biology major's company, Quest Investment Firm, was founded three years ago after he graduated as valedictorian of Sacramento's Inderkum High School. It provides a range of services from asset allocation to portfolio review to wealth management and investment strategy and management, according to its website. The firm boasts 34 clients and consists of three part-time employees, six solicitors, a lawyer and a tax strategist.
Sam "owns all responsibility for every aspect of the organization and works directly with clients as a Registered Investment Advisor," according to the site. In his company bio, basketball was listed among Dhillon's hobbies, along with wind surfing and hiking.
Dhillon, along with three other USC students, also started a mobile clinic on campus which provides free health exams for LA's homeless population.
"The whole, kind of, goal is to have each hour planned out to have something accomplished in that one hour," Dhillon told ESPN. "So, each hour I have, I have it planned out for either organic chemistry, anatomy work or basketball practice or client meetings or trying to do my mobile clinic or trying to grow my business."
As you might imagine, Dhillon has won the Trojans' award for the having the team's highest GPA two years running. He was also honored as the team's most inspirational player.
He has seen action in six games this season, scoring his lone basket in a 100-64 win against Lafayette, but he used to get down in high school. He averaged a double-double: 13.6 points and 11 rebounds per game.
