UConn looks to avenge its first loss since Dec. 20 with a home match against Villanova. The Huskies fell to Creighton in a 19-point loss this past Tuesday but still hold a three-game lead in the Big East.

The Wildcats, meanwhile, are on a three-game winning streak and could build some postseason momentum with the conference tournament on the horizon.

The last time these two teams faced off on Jan. 20, UConn escaped with a one-point win at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Alex Karaban made a decisive 3-pointer late in the second half and the Huskies pulled away with the 66-65 win. Justin Moore and TJ Bamba led the Wildcats with 15 points each.

The trio of Karaban, Cam Spencer and Tristen Newton are the driving force behind UConn. Newton leads the team with 15.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.7 assists, while Spencer averages 14.8 points and Karaban averages 14.3 points.

Villanova forward Eric Dixon leads his team with 15.9 points per game, while Bamba and Moore average 10.4 and 10.0 points per game, respectively.

Whichever team plays better defense could be the deciding factor. UConn's lowest scoring output in the past two month is 66 points – one of which was against Villanova and the other in the loss to Creighton. Both teams allow fewer than 66 points per game, too – the Huskies give up 64.5 points on average while the Wildcats allow 65.9 points.
